He had said that many Balkan nations and most of Southeast Europe are directly or indirectly affected by Russian energy policies and supplies; those that have been gased believe, almost exclusively Russia as suppliers. Therefore, according to him, Kosovo needed New Kosovo.
“If this project fails, Kosovo may be forced to consider alternatives involving Russian sources. Many Balkan nations and most of Southeast Europe are directly or indirectly affected by Russian energy policies and supply; those who have been gased believe Russia almost exclusively as suppliers. To maintain its energy independence, Kosovo needs the new generation, and New Kosovo is the most practical, efficient and possible option. Supporting this project is completely national interest in the US”, Palmer had said.
