The arrival of a child in the world causes remarkable changes in a woman's life, which will no longer be the same. And beyond the joy and happiness that it can mean to keep a new human being in the womb, there is something essential to this new role: responsibility. And we're not just talking about parenting and education. It starts with protecting your child's health during pregnancy. Bright Sideé tells of a recent study of overweight during pregnancy:
Overweight During Pregnant
The weight of a woman during pregnancy is usually disturbing to her. The growth of weight is necessary to be gradual and to be within healthy limits for each period of joy. Among the complications that can cause overweight in women during pregnancy are high blood pressure, and genetic diabetes.
The Dangers of Imminent Weight
When a pregnant woman earns a lot of weight, she is often believed that only her health will be endangered. This means: We do not remember that this is a problem that can affect even the baby. While it is normal for mothers with this condition to be born without complications, there is a risk of premature birth or, in certain extreme cases, abortion.
A team of specialists from the Milman School of Public Health at Columbia University and Texas University published a study at BMC Paddys, in which they accompanied a mother's overweight during pregnancy with some difficulty in their children's later development.
Study
The team of epidemiologists, nutritionists, and environmental health researchers studied 368 mothers and their children both during pregnancy and when children were 3 and 7. The 368 selected cases belonged to members of the same economic and social rank. Entia, marital status, educational level and mother IQ were taken into account. Attention has also been given to the period of urstation in which babies were born and the environmental conditions in which they were exposed. Mother's diet during pregnancy and if the child was breast - fed was left out of analysis.
When the children were 3 years old, tests were made to assess their motor skills. The same tests were again conducted four years later, when they became 7.
Scores
In three-year-old children's studies, researchers examined their motor skills and noted that the mother's weight in pregnancy was linked to cases in which the child's motor skills were slower.
When the children were reviewed at age 7, it was found that male children of mothers who had been overweight or overweight during pregnancy had a lower IQ than those born to women who had a normal weight. This change was 5 or more, and it only happened in men.
Finals
It should be explained that although the study found a connection between the mother's overweight during pregnancy and the problems of the aforementioned children, it was not possible to determine why or why.
On the other hand, the study considered each child's environment and found that the influence of mother's overweight during a child's IQ pregnancy was lower when they were raised in a comfortable home, where they received incentives to play and learn.
