Today, at 12:40 p.m., we have accepted emergency recommendation from the National Institute of Health for cancelling all flights coming from the epidemic areas of northern Italy as a revision of quarantine imposed by the Italian government in the battle against Coronavirus.
As a result, I have requested the temporary cancellation of all flights coming from this epidemic area named the high - risk area. Flights are out.
We regret the measures taken but in the current situation we have no alternative. I'm in close contact with Health Minister Vitita and Foreign Affairs Minister Konjufca to coordinate airport control and eventual assistance to travelers in high-risk areas.
We recall that today Italy has placed some 16 million people in quarantine because of the coronary./Periscopi/
