The head of the EU Office in Kosovo, Nataliya Apostolova, will sign today a contract worth 5m euros for Kosovo's immediate need for fighting COVID-19.
Today's signing ceremony will be broadcast live at 5 o'clock on Facebook via the EU page in Kosovo (@EuropeanUnionInCosovo). The event will take place through a virtual meeting platform.
The “contrata will include supply of specialized laboratory equipment and equipment for protection from COVIDD-19 and treatment for the needs of the University Clinical Centre in Pristina. Equipment includes respiratory/ventilators, infusion pumps and syringe infusion pumps, auto-ambulance, pulse oximeter on the finger and pulse oximeter, patient monitors, defibrillators, electrocardigraphers. If some of the above articles cannot be secured, supplies of other necessary items - such as tests, pipes, masks, gloves, and disinfectant - will be provided. The articles will be purchased through the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS), which will be the next signatory of the contract. The event will take place in the presence of incumbent Prime Minister Albin Kurti and incumbent Health Minister Arben Vitita”, the announcement said.
