Cyber security expert: Russian media are creating propaganda panic for coronarys

On social networks, the media and various portals are circulated false reports about the origin of the virus, often lacking resources. Cyber security experts in Kosovo urge the media to convey only confirmed news to citizens so that no confusion arises.

What lies behind the coronary and whether there will be war again is these citizens' questions, which they have said are concerned about since different reports on social networks and in the media are being circulated.

Mentor Hoxhaj, leader of the Community for Cyber Security and Privates, tells Kosovo that citizens are accepting disturbing messages about the situation created in Kosovo and the world following the proclamation of pandemic.

“We have received hundreds of disturbing messages from citizens, the main concern has really been whether war is dangerous and how reliable they are in the virus and the so-called magic bar”, he says.

These days, a writing that connects the coronavirus with the U.S. Army has circulated online and many online Albanian media have distributed it. It refers to the dislocation of 30,000 American troops in Italy, without masks.

This, according to Hoxhaj, was done in order to create panic, which, according to him, such false news is due to Russian media, which he mentions “Russia Today (RT)”.

We've seen that there's news from neighboring states claiming the movement of military troops, the landing of 30,000 troops, and this news has been trying to mask with grief as if 30,000 American troops are going to land without masks. The idea was not to be of concern that there would be no mask, but it was to introduce the confusion of citizens who would have been dislocation of the armed forces, then the news of going to 20 thousand devices, the tins and so on, to continue with news of German forces, the dislocation of other Russian forces, all of these have been to confuse citizens that, unfortunately, have been stimulated by RT, which is a Russian-based programme”, he says.

On the other hand, Hoxhaj says they are concerned because the media in Kosovo, and even public figures, are making passive news that is not true.

The leader of the Community for Cyber Security and Private tells him that in just one day, the number of false news spread amounts to 500.

And according to him, the biggest challenge is when even spirit mediums who are considered serious publish them and then become a source of confusion for readers.

The Cybernetic and Private Safety Committee is monitoring the false news dealing with the choreography.

We remember that COVID-19 has also affected Kosovo, on March 13th, where the first cases were marked. Today, the number of affected has reached 16.

Meanwhile, in many parts of the world, borders have been closed and different measures have been taken to prevent the spread of this virus, which originally emerged in China.
