Kosovo police, in co-ordination with municipal inspection employees, visited cafes and restaurants in northern Mitrovica, Zvecan and the entire northern part of Kosovo, and asked the owners to cut off their jobs, in line with the Kosovo Government's command to protect from corruption.
The deputy police director for the northern region, Besim Hoti, confirmed this for Radio Free Europe, saying the warning has been distributed to all owners of objects where people can gather.
The superiors fully understood this and there was no misunderstanding”, Hoti said.
He added that the awareness of citizens themselves to avoid contact with many is also important.
The Kosovo government adopted a series of preventative measures Friday, following the census of the first corruption cases in Kosovo.
