Boxing delegation arrives in Pristina, sent to quarantine at Students Centre in Pristina

The boxing delegation has returned moments ago from London to Pristina, with the private plane of former Kosovo Prime Minister Behgjet Pacolli. The boxing team was in London, taking part in the European qualifying tournament for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, but the host decided on Monday to suspend competitions because of the spread of the Coronavirius Covid-19.

Co-operation by KOK President Besim Hasani with Culture, Youth and Sports Minister Vlora Dumosh, assisted by Deputy Prime Minister Abdullah Hoti and Minister of Infrastructure and Transport Lumir Abdixhiku, has been found to be the solution that thanks to Behgjet Pacoll's humanity, assisted also by former Foreign Minister of Great Britain Sir Alan Duncan, to become the emergency return of the boxing delegation to Kosovo. The delegation is now being sent to the Students Centre in Pristina, where tests will be conducted if they are infected with coronary, while they are told they will be closed in quarantine for 14 days.

“We've just arrived, and now we're on our way to the Students' Menza in Pristina, where our tests will be made. Also, we are told that we will stay there for 14 days in quarantine”, Kosovo Box Federation spokesman Latif Demolli points out, on the official site of the Kosovo Olympic Committee. Demolli has praised the great dedication of KOK and Government, as well as the humanity of former Prime Minister Behgjet Pacolli. “We have travelled as president of the United States. Thank you to the president of KOK, Besim Hasani, MKRS, Government, who provided us with the private jet of the great humanitarian Behgjet Pacolli, whom we will always be grateful to. It's all been accomplished in 12 hours. Thank you all for bringing us near our families”, and Demoll added. Happy to return home is also boxer Donjat Sadiku, who had won a war on the qualifying tournament, and in the latter failed to compete because of the suspension of the races. Thank you all, especially Behgjet Pacolli. We're gonna be so honored that we could get back in the best way possible. We're feeling a lot better. Now they are sending us to Students Menza to check on us”, she stressed. The boxing team was represented by four boxers two trainers and an official at the European Olympic qualifying tournament “Tokio 2020”.
