The ATK has so far handled 516 reported cases by citizens, even though their calls have 1809, but different citizens have reported on similar business, Klan Kosova reports.
After about 1, 809 calls received by citizens for price hikes from businesses, tax inspectors have so far handled 516 reported cases. It must be noted that the difference between the number of reporting and the number of cases handled - is because through open telephone lines in most cases, dozens of times have been reported for a similar business.
ATK warns legal measures against businesses exploiting the situation for price hikes.
“as a result of field visits, it has been found that a considerable number of businesses have increased the prices of basic food products, as well as pharmaceuticals, so ATK in co-operation with competent organs, including the Inspectorate of
Markets, Prosecution and Police, based on tax inspectors' reports, will take legal action”.
Denonics of these cases have been mainly for basic food and pharmaceutical products, such as:
-Food: flour, oil, sugar;
-farmacetic: protective masks, disinfectant, alcohol, and children's body, Vitamin C.
Kosovo's Tax Administration said that immediately after the decision of the Ministry of Finance and Transitions, it has also organised responsible teams, which will manage the situation created by the coronavirus (COVID-19).
Likewise, ATK invites all citizens to report on these two telephone lines: 0800 80 800 which is pay-free and 038 222 165, which is currently on payment, for which ATK is communicating with Telekom to enable the tariff to be removed by overcoming this situation.
These two lines will be open every day for reporting between 8:00 and 10:00.
