The United States granted $108m additional humanitarian aid to the needy Syrians, US Ambassador to the United Nations Kelly Craft said.
During a trip to Turkey, Craft stressed that the funds were aimed at providing food, housing, winter clothing, blankets, medicines and drinking water for Syrians within the country and the region, including those leaving the country as a result of violence in northwest Syria.
The total US humanitarian assistance totals more than $10.6 billion since the beginning of the crisis in Syria”, Craft added.
She said on Twitter that she previously visited the Turkish-Syrian border to show American solidarity for Syria's people.
