The International Referee has made the final decision. The Albanian state must pay Italian businessman Francisco Becket, a sum amounting to 140m euros.

All this for a shot of Prime Minister Edi Rama and for an SMS of Tirana Mayor Erion Veliaj, who declared war on businessman and his investments in Albania.

AGN television reports were made.

On April 24, last year, the International Court of Arbitrazhi, I The Washington-based CSID made a decision on Friday form that the Albanian state should pay 110 (+30) euros in damages to AGON Channel owner Francisco Becket. Albanian taxpayers must pay under this 140m-euro decision, plus the huge and never transparent spending the Albanian government has made for its lawyers and obligations for judicial processes.

Everything after an unprecedented and irresponsible attack by Prime Minister Edi Rama against television, the owner and journalists working there.

After that decision, the Albanian state made an effort to gain time and sought to annul a portion of the decision.

Washington's court accepted the request for review of that part argued by the Albanian state by temporarily suspending payment repayment -- that is, immediate implementation of the decision until an ad-hoc committee would examine both the annulment and the suspension.

The ad-hoc committee decided on March 23rd 2020 to suspend the execution of the decision on paying 110m euros. This means that the execution of this amount should be done automatically and immediately.

Meanwhile, from the state attorney institution, the Government or Finance Ministry has never received an answer to how much the Albanian state has spent on lawyer's fees, or how much has been the cost of the obligation to apply for annulment procedures by violating any obligation to transparency and information law. /Syri.net/
