But former Infrastructure Minister Paul Lekaj in an interview for Online Economy is considering minister Abdixhiku's decision to annul this tender unfair and euphoric.
Lekaj says the decision on this highway is budgeted and is the decision of the Kosovo Assembly.
And as far as Minister Abdixhiku's decision is concerned, I think it's inappropriate because the world doesn't change with the coming of a government or a ministry and we have to continue to contribute just as I have. The minister I think has been less accurate in this direction without analyzing, because that highway is designed with a budget and is a decision in the Kosovo parliament. I call it the law and now the minister to get involved in procurement procedures is inappropriate and I think it's been a little euphoric”, he says.
While regarding the Movement's claims on irregularities on this highway, Lekaj says there are no violations in these procedures, on the contrary it says there are competent organs that should be taken with these findings.
Be convinced that the minister will now obey and will not follow the procedures and dare not get involved in the procurement office, but I don't think there was a violation of the procedures because the budget was, but if someone has something like that then they are competent organs and ask them to inform and start procedures under law”, he says.
As for the AAK's internal elections, Lekaj confirmed that preparations for changing the AAK statute have begun.
He added that no member would have an obstacle to running in certain positions.
“As far as the Alliance's internal elections for the Future of Kosovo have made all preparations and tried to change the Alliance's statute and we have really managed to develop an internal democratic process where competition is allowed and I can say there is no obstacle for any member of the Alliance to run in the specific positions and therefore win, and that's a democratic process, and I think we'll get stronger and stronger in this” election process, he tells EO.
He for the composition of government cabinet Kurti said anyone chooses the best people to influence positive processes, but Lekaj cannot appreciate something you don't know.
I don't have much knowledge of the people who have come, but anyone who chooses the best people who will influence positive economic and comprehensive development processes in Kosovo and therefore is their duty and cannot appreciate in someone I don't know”, he says.
