Periscop earlier reported that today's Kosovo Government meeting was postponed for tomorrow, due to government tax imbalance. Meanwhile, Kosovo Deputy Prime Minister Avdullah Hoti says tax on Serbian goods is an insurmountable obstacle for internationals, the US and the EU.
“Tarifa on Serbian and Bosnian goods is an obstacle without overcoming the international community, the US and the EU. Any push for the removal of the fee seriously compensates our negotiating position in this dialogue, undermines our report with the US and EU, and jeopardises a isolation for Government and country”, says Hoti.
He goes on to say that no measures of bias can advance Kosovo's position.
No one measure of one side can protect or advance our position if it is not supported by the US and EU”, says Hoti.

The American involvement in dialogue has changed the dynamic negotiation. Secretary Pompeo's stance and Ambassador Green's commitments that the sovereignty of the Republic of Kosovo is too common for the future of the region and that the Peace Agreement between Kosovo and Serbia must result with mutual recognition are guarantees for our negotiating position and our goals in this dialogue.
Dialogue must be led by the Government of Kosovo, which carries the political legitimacy delegated by the Kosovo Assembly. The faster the involvement provides time for more favourable negotiations on the final arrangement.
The tariff on Serbian and Bosnian goods is an obstacle to the international community, the US and the EU. Any push for the removal of the fee seriously offsets our negotiating position in this dialogue, damages our report with the US and EU, and risks a isolation for Government and the country.
No one's one-way move can protect or advance our position if it is not supported by the US and the EU.
The government of the Republic of Kosovo must lift the family fee and thus sit equally with its friends at the dialogue table.
Any other option seriously endangers the future of the country.
