This is the first point in the agenda for the second meeting of Kurti Government to be held tomorrow at 10:00 a.m., KTV reports.
In the December 20, 2017, the Haradinaj government had decided on a 100 per cent salary increase. Prime Minister Haradinaj, of 1500 euros, was paid 2950 euros.
Under the Law for Courts, the prime minister's and other officials in the government cabinet are equivalent to wages in the justice sector. This had done that salaries, besides Haradinaj and his cabinet, had increased in the sector as well.
Later, the Law on Salaries, which included the regulation of government cabinet salaries, had been voted.
The law on wages envisioned reduction of salaries for the prime minister, but this law has been suspended until March following a Constitutional Court decision.
