Glauk Konjufca tells Germans that they have completely abandoned the National Union

Kosovo diplomacy chief Glauk Konjufca has spoken to the renowned German newspaper “Stutgarter Zeitung” for Kosovo's problems and challenges in foreign policy, for the departure of Kosovars from their country and for the EU and its attitude towards Kosovo. Foreign Minister Glauk Konjufca, who is also responsible for the diaspora, has chosen Stutgart to participate in an event on the occasion of the 12th anniversary of Kosovo's independence.

Konjufca in an interview newspaper “Stutgarter Zeitung” expressed concern over the departure of citizens from Kosovo. In Germany, he said, live over 400 thousand Kosovars “and more than 100 thousand in the Laundry of Baden-Wurtemberg”.

I want the evacuation from Kosovo reduced. We are trying to improve living conditions”, Konjufca said.

He mentioned an essential problem: Kosovo invests in people's education and their skills and then benefits other states “this is a huge loss to our country”. Almost all Balkan and Eastern European countries are facing similar problems.

Konjufca also talked about inherited problems in relation to Serbia.

Our government started work on February 4th. Foreign policy has been in a big crisis in recent years. We have an aggressive campaign by Serbia, aimed at countries attracting recognition of Kosovo. It's 15 states, mostly Pacific space and Africa”, he says.

Konjufca said Prime Minister Albin Kurti has warned mutually removing trade barriers between Kosovo and Serbia. But, Kosovo Foreign Minister Serbia added, is hampering Kosovo in many areas, for example, by refusing to accept Kosovo documents.

Konjufca said dialogue under EU auspices must continue. As for the EU states that have not accepted Kosovo, Kosovo's top diplomat showed that there are differences: with Greece, the reports are good, this state accepts Kosovo passports, with Slovakia, reports are in order, Spain and Cyprus “attempting to impose barriers to”. The most extreme “is Cyprus”, Konjufca said.

As for ideas about joining Albania, Konjufca said: “I cannot predict the future, I don't know what happens after decades. Now it's important to deepen good reports. That's why we're working on”. /Periscope
