The Kosovo government began the dismissal yesterday of the Kosovo Board of Telecom, while Finance Minister Besnik Bislimi has stressed today that the new government aims at fighting in-competent boards in public companies, stressing that these companies from a budget burden will be changed for economic growth in Kosovo.
Likewise, Bislimi said several capital projects that are at risk for the country will be revised.
With the new government, some of our projections are listed as risks, will return as opportunities. We have as a potential risk the poor performance of public enterprises. With the measures we will take, we aim at reducing nepotism, but also fighting in-competent monitoring boards. We think that among the public taking of a budget burden can be transformed into an instrument that promotes economic growth in the country. Likewise, the problems related to the low execution of capital projects that are envisioned as danger”, Bislim said.
Minister Bislimi made these comments during a meeting with the European Commission's mission to assess the programme for Reforms in the economy and discussion on economic policy recommendations for the country.
