Eliot Engel, chairman of the American Congress House of Representatives, believes the final agreement on normalising Belgrade-Pristina relations should include the rights of Albanians in the Presevo Valley.
This statement, Engel has made in a letter to Presevo Mayor Shqim Arifi, inviting him to visit Washington to discuss this matter.
“Although the future of talks on normalising relations between Belgrade and Pristina remains unclear, it is necessary that any final agreement should take into account the rights of Albanians and the prospect of economic development in the Presevo Valley of”, Engel has said.
In the meantime, Arifi has said he will respond to Engel's invitation and discuss Washington, Presevo, Bujanocine and Medvedja.
