Close foundation with Trump: Kosovo deserves to be part of NATO, EU

The deputy head of the foundation, which is close to Republican Party and President Trump, “The Heritage Foundation”, James Carafano, commenting on Kosovo President Hashim Thaci's posting on Twitter, has thanked him for his visit to the foundation.

Carafano has said there is no state worthy of a NATO and EU membership perspective than Kosovo.

Kosovo is an important ally of the United States. The best days of our bilateral relations and the best days for Kosovo are ahead. No country deserves more to be on a path towards NATO and EU membership”, the Foundation's deputy chairman has written.

During the day, President Thaci had said that Kosovo's membership in NATO and the EU means less anti-Western ideology throughout the Western Balkans.

According to him, to move forward Kosovo is working on reaching a peace agreement with Serbia to be freed from the past and moving forward.
