There are seven physical symptoms that can help to reveal when a person is stressed.
Charlotte Watts, author of the book “The De-Stres Effect”, says feeding plays an important role in the way the body reacts to stress.
She explains that stress symptoms can often be linked to a lack of vitamins and minerals.
“During stress periods, more nutrients are used since the entire immune system, such as energy, brain reactions, hormones and immunity function at a higher and faster rate”, she explains,
These are some of the symptoms that warn of a lack of vitamins and minerals as a result of stress:
Incisions (Vymine B6), tooth disputes (Vitamine B5), white stripes in nails (zink), constipation and diarrhea (magnez), bleeding gums (vimine C), red stains on limbs (Vimine E), throat infections and chest infections (vimina A).
There are also a number of studies that document the impact that stress can have on the waist perimeter.
A study conducted by the University of California has revealed that women who experience stress from traumatic events are more likely to become obese.
While stress has always been documented by scientists as a cause of negative effects, a team of scientists from the University of Illinois say that little stress can do human good. The study has found that cortisol, often called “stress hormone”, can protect against aging cells and reduce the risk of developing degenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's and Huntingdon disease.
