The World Health Organization recently released the report with the deadliest diseases in the 2019-2020 period, which states that 7 of the 10 major diseases of global death are non-traditional diseases.
Heart disease has remained the leading cause of global death for the past 20 years, but now this group of wrestling is killing more people than ever before. The death toll from heart disease increased by more than 2 million since 2000 to nearly 9 million in 2019. Heart disease represents 16% of total deaths.
Alzheimer's disease and other forms of degene are among the world's top 10 causes of death, ranking 3rd in both America and Europe for 2019. Women are disproportionally affected: globally, 65% of the deaths from Alzheimer's and other forms of degeneracy are women.
The diabetes deaths rose by 70% worldwide between 2000 and 2019, with an increase of 80% deaths in men.
