Meanwhile, Osmani initially hosted Vetevendosje Movement leader Albin Kurti on Tuesday.
While, the Democratic League of Kosovo, the Democratic Party of Kosovo and the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo, at this meeting, called by Osmani, sent only their representatives -- that is, for consultations the party mayors did not go.
As an appropriate time of elections, February 7th has been proposed by the LDK, and the end of January was proposed by the PDK.
After consulting with political subjects, the date of the elections is expected to be announced, no less than 40 days from under Article 95 of the Kosovo Constitution.
The Constitutional Court has last night ruled in favour of the Vetevendosje Movement's request about MP Eem Arifi's validity of the selection of the Hoti Government, with which the country will officially head towards early new elections.
MP Etem Arifi's vote was crucial for the selection of Hoti Government on 3 June.
The Constitution has found that, under Article 71.1 of the Constitution of the Republic of Kosovo, in contact with Article 29.1 (q) of the General Election Law, the person convicted of criminal acts with a decision of firm form in the last three (3) years cannot be a candidate for MP, nor win a valid mandate in the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo.
She also found out, no. 07/V-014 of Kosovo's Parliament for the Election of the Government of Kosovo, June 3, 2020, is not in compliance with Article 3 of Article 95 [The Government's election] of the Constitution, because the government has not received the majority of votes of all Kosovo Assembly deputies, and given that the Government has not been selected according to Article 95 [the Government election] of the Constitution, then supported in paragraph 4 of Article 95 [The Government], the president of the Republic of Kosovo, which should be held late than 40 days after their proclamation.
Government decisions remain in force, as well as the government remains in office until the election of the new government, the Constitutional decision said.
