Kodheli talks about Special Commission investigating Dick Marty's Kosovo report

Days ago, Albania's Assembly approved 83 votes for, 10 against and 10 abstained the Socialist majority's demand for the establishment of the Special Parliamentary Commission, which will investigate former MP Dick Marty's report on Kosovo. This commission will investigate Dick Marty's report, in which it stresses that during the war [...]
Albania's Parliament's Foreign Policy Commission head Mimi Kodeli is pledging that the issue of whitewashing genocide two decades ago in Kosovo will also be the chief language of Albanian politics.
For that, he stressed that everyone must work to shed light on what happened two decades ago on the people of Kosovo.
We've just established a special commission, we've established this commission that relates exactly what you asked about, a week ago, and I believe that after the committee's establishment we're going to move on. And we're going to see how we're going to conclude with exactly one issue that certainly in Kosovo's political life, but also in our political life has special significance”, she added.
After meeting with members of the Commission for Foreign Affairs and Diaspora, she said it is very important that Kosovo and Albania work together, because only thus will it be on the Euro-Atlantic road.
The “seems to be big words that have little place in reality, in fact I believe they are words of heart, spoken by a person still active in Albanian politics but first spoken by a sister to Kosovo brothers and sisters. I thank Time for the invitation, and colleagues for the reception, just as I want to thank any personality I met and meet on my day of visit”, she said.
While chairman of the Commission for Foreign Affairs and Diaspore, Time Kadriaj stressed that even on the visit to Albania, they have sought support, for which the establishment of the KLA's fair fight commission has resulted.
“We will continue together in the development of parliamentary diplomacy. We have also sought assistance in lobbiing for recognition by other non-recognising states for Kosovo, as well as visa liberalisation. But also for maximum commitment to initiatives that can be taken at the European Parliament in the Council of Europe, because Albania there is represented by 12 MPs. And if these 12 deputies have an initiative that concerns Kosovo or Albania, we ask these deputies to lobby for membership in other international organisations”, Kadriaj stressed.
The Commission for Foreign Affairs and Diaspore has held meetings today with the delegation of the Foreign Policy Commission of the Republic of Albania. By contrast, Mimi Kodeli is also deputy chairman of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly. She has held a meeting today even with Kosovo Parliament Speaker Vjosa Osmani.
