That's true for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Sitch. It only takes a few seconds, and it would stop.
But shutting down the PS5 is a serious process without need. Instead, when you press and keep the SP button, you enter the main menu of PS5 where I'm presented as the choice of another game to play, PlayStation control, or the opening of a media app.
Instead, Sony has exhumed the opportunity to disable the console on the SP button.
