Google Maps is presenting some new features to make the app more focused on community engagement, and communication between businesses and clients.
Community Source Within the App
With this new feature, Google Maps users can access comments, posts, latest photos by people and local experts, for a business or a specific location.
Intermediate exchange for maps and research
Confirmed companies can send customers direct messages from the app, allowing researchers to interact with businesses and ask questions. Messages from customers will be displayed in the business message section.
Business performance assessments
This business-focused update will track how well a company is performing by measuring the number of customer commitments, in Maps and Serch. This system will provide insight into business performance and engagement information with clients at Google.
User-added street images
Google Maps users will be able to present street images from their phones. In particular, people can do so by recording a series of images as they move along a path or path. Once those images are recorded and published, Google will automatically position and combine images. In this way, people will find it easy to orientation to unregistered areas on Google Maps.
