Gennady Golovkin beat Polish boxer Kamil Szeremeta, successfully defending the heavyweight title in IBF and IBO versions. The 31-year-old from Bialystok went to Florida without any losses, yet “Tripe G” knocked it down four times, to protect for the 21st time in the world middleweight title.
The 38-year-old Kazakh-old dominated the title's final duel, which ran with closed doors at “Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino”, in the small Hollywood town of Broadway County, to close everything with a “kock out” technical in the seventh round of the summit.
With this triumph Gennady Gennadyevich Golovkin also passed one of the most famous boxers of the past three decades, such as veteran from the United States Bernard Hopkins, who had defended the title in the middle weights 20 times. The pole match Kamil Szeremeta represents only the third challenge for Golovkin, since the only defeat he had in his career with famous Mexican boxer Canelo Alvarez, a duel that was then held in Nevada, T-Mobile Arena Paradis in Las Vegas. Now the line seems to be the exact duel that canelo has. Genad is ready for another challenge with Santos Saul Alvarez Barragan, and he is looking forward to completing the trilogy of extraordinary challenges with the great Mexican boxer.
The 30-year-old from Guadayara received the highly controversial titles at the WBA and WBC Federation in the September 15th duel of 2018, in Las Vegas, a meeting that really had a lot of controversy, where the victory was given to Canelo by the majority of judges, while 12 months earlier but in Nevada on the first challenge between them ended in equality. The famous British manager Eddie Hearn, who is also the winner of boxer Gennady Golovkin immediately after winning Szeremeta, declared that the Kazakh boxer now fully deserves a big match, suggesting another challenge to Canelo.
Thanks to its excellent performance and extraordinary career achievements “Tripe G” is widely considered the second largest Asian boxer of all time, after only “PacMan” from the Philippines Islands, the legendary boxer Manny Pacquiao.
