Gjith for Haradinaj: We are electing president of the Academy of Sciences, but president of the country.

He has said the president, after being voted in the Assembly, must be a factor of unity, while there is no candidate who can meet all these requirements before the elections.

“There is no one else who can do better than Ramush Haradinaj”, Djind said, as he demonstrated his position in a party interview, carried out on AAK's Facebook page.

We are not choosing president of the Academy of Sciences, but we are electing the country's president, who has access to the Assembly”, he added.

Ramush Haradinaj was nominated by the AAK for the president's position even before the indictment Hashim Thaci was confirmed.

Against AAKA proposal so far they've come out PDK, LDK and Vetevendosje.

But Haradinaj's party has the crucial votes for voting a president, any of the parties that agree on the position.

The PDK and LDK do not have enough votes, 80 deputies, without even securing the fourth party's votes in Kosovo.

In this situation, the AAK's First Deputy Chairman has explained what would happen if Haradinaj is voted for president.

The president must represent after election, a common concept. The president is not an executive organ. In us it represents that unity for the feelings and intentions of the people of Kosovo”, he has said.

“at this stage, no one better represents that part of people's feelings, goals and will than Ramush Haradinaj”, he added.
