The head of the European Union's Office in Kosovo, Thomas Szunyog, has said that over 300 thousand Kosovo citizens will benefit from the European Union's initiative to help Western Balkan states with the vaccine against COVID-19.
The news was made known through a tweet from Szunyog.
“Thanks to the European Union's contribution to COVID-19 vaccine, Kosovo will benefit free vaccines for more than 300 thousand”, he writes on Twitter.
European Commission President Ursula von der Leyeen and European Council President Charles Michel have pledged that the EU will have a priority to help Western Balkan countries with the vaccine against COVID-19.
We also care about our neighbors. The European Union will co-ordinate the donations of the vaccine from member states, especially for the protection of health workers in the Western Balkans and neighbourhood”, Von der Leyen said, speaking after the EU's recent summit, where preparations for the vaccine were among the main topics.
Health Minister During Tuesday has also spoken about anti vaccine CO VID-19.
He announced that on December 7th he signed the vaccine application, while announced that Kosovo is among 92 countries where 20 per cent of the vaccine will have it free.

The minister has also talked about problems in providing oxygen hospitals, while saying that this has already been overcome.
I can literally say that oxygen has been challenging and oxygen management because of the large number of patients... We already have two contracts linked to”, Zemaj said.
