Joe Biden has been officially declared the new president of the United States.
The democratic candidate has managed to secure over 270 necessary electoral votes to be elected 46th president of the United States, allegedly as vice-president, Kamala Harris, reports.
After voting on California electors, Beden has already reached the number of 302 electoral votes, enough for the Oval Office. The current president, Donald Trump so far, has won 232 electoral votes from 538 votes, as total as they are, broadcast Telegrafi.
The only state that has so far not given votes is Hawaii, where its voters will vote in a few hours. Let's stress that even here Democrat Biden will get the trust of four voters because he has won presidential elections in this state.
It is noteworthy that the voters usually don't get that much attention, but this year, because of the ongoing efforts of the current president, Donald Trump to question and overturn the results, including legal challenges that have been rejected by courts across the country, quite important.
The Electoral College is the one determining the winner of the US presidential election rather than popular votes, although Beden leads even in that category, with more than seven million votes.
Congress reviews and finalises the official outcome of the Electoral College on January 6th. No Congress has abolished the electoral votes of a state since the 19th century and is likely to happen next month.
Otherwise, presidential inauguration, where the Democrat Biden is expected to take office, is scheduled on January 20th, two weeks after the confirmation of results from Congress.
