The Vatican is investigating how it is possible that the Pope's logo on the Instagram enjoyed an extravagant picture of a Brazilian model, Natalia Garibotto.
On November 14, the Catholic News Agency reported the scandal and sought explanations from the Holy See, which did not comment. It's still unclear how the Pope's account at the Institute liked the picture. The CNA reports that the Vatican has launched an investigation and is seeking explanations from the Instagram. A representative from the Holy See told Guardian that none of the staff liked the photo.
Pope Francis's account is popular in Instagram and numbers more than 7.4 million followers, but it rarely posts. “Papa is not like Donald Trump. He doesn't sit around using the phone and computer to post every day,” said Robert Mickens, the Roma-based editor of the English - language edition of the daily Catholic newspaper La Croix. It's “He, for example, approves post office but not favors. Everything else the communications department handles. Now that happens. Who knows.”
On Twitter, shortly after the incident became viral, Natalia Garibotto joked, saying, “At least I'm going to Paradise”.
