Labour and Social Management Minister Skender Recica has responded to Kosovo's Parliamentary MP from the LDK ranks Rzazarta Krasniqi, regarding her parliamentary question dealing with cases of leaving pregnant women working in the private sector.
In this regard, MPMS Minister Skender Recica has said that, I am extremely happy that finally topics of interest of citizens have begun to be discussed in the Kosovo Assembly, where he said this is a good and proper thing for the country.
The protection of women in the labour market has been and is one of the main objectives that is addressing the dictatorship I am leading, Minister Recica said.
He also said that the employment of women in the labour market since 2010 has failed to produce the right effect, and therefore has not provided the necessary results related to protection or prevention of job loss during pregnancy.
By seeing that we have dignified samples of women in the labour market, we as MPMS have drafted the new Labour Bill and the Bill for the Rest of Lehonia and Parental, to address more specifically issues related to women's rights and pregnancy and flexibility during working hours, and these bills are already in procedure to come to the Parliament for approval”, Minister Recica said.
These two bills will greatly strengthen the woman's role in the labour market and prevent women from getting out of work during pregnancy, Minister Skender Recica has said at the end of parliamentary response.
