PDK calls government's failure to support the economy scandalous, measures considered without vision

Honored representatives of the media, dear citizens,

Today it takes eight months, or 245 days, from the Covid-19 pandemic show in Kosovo. Unfortunately, we have experienced two governments, one after another, Kurt and now Hoti, with no idea, no vision and no sensitivity for the citizen of Kosovo.

People's public health is getting worse every day with an increase in infection and death toll; hospital capacities in absence; the economy on the brink of collapse; the closure of businesses, workers who are laid off daily; and tens of thousands of families have plunged into poverty according to the World Bank.

The two parties -- the VV and the LDK -- since October last year deceived Kosovo citizens with empty banners for “the government of hope “have returned to the <x2mbytent of hope” of Kosovo citizens.

Today, we are faced with chaos and health and economic collapse, with a lack of security and fear in each family what will happen tomorrow to the fate of each of us.

Honored citizens of Kosovo;

This package, as you know, provided concrete measures for all these categories, which have been forgotten today and eight months.

The hand of two governments today does not look anywhere like:

Don't secure salaries for private sector workers,

By not supporting private companies;

By not providing additions to public sector workers who are directly faced with pandemic management;

Neither support nor addition for social schemes;

There is no financial support for families who have no employees;

Zero aid for sectors that have been affected most by the negative effects of pandemics such as gastronomia, agriculture, construction, productivity, private transportation, and so on.

But the arrogance and ignorance of this government has made our country now and as long as it remains without an economic package that would address problems with the economic pandemic.

As countries in the region and European countries now discuss the third and fourth package, our government rejected our legal initiative, leaving the country without such support.

From an up-to-date estimate, it turns out for 245 days of pandemic, the average amount a worker has benefited from government is ridiculous, and nothing less than 2.60 euros a day for a worker!

The PDK also voted the law on pandemics because we considered them important laws for the lives of Kosovo citizens.

The PDK is not opposed to measures aimed at preserving public health, and done with professional proposals, but we seek in advance from the Government of Kosovo that the private sector in the Republic of Kosovo subsidies it with financial packages and provide income for private sector workers.

On the contrary, the government with well-advanced decisions will only increase the economic crisis by closing down many businesses and leaving thousands of private sector workers unemployed, thus producing a new social crisis.
