According to one belief for centuries, madness is closely linked to the phases of the moon and seems to grow exponentially during the full moon. And in this way, it risks increasing crime and violence.
This conclusion has already been made official after a study by a team of psychologists at the University of Laval Quebec City, Canada.
The study analysed the clinical situation of 771 hospitalised patients in the last three years in case of emergency in the emergency room, focusing specifically on those with psychological problems.
Medical staff, namely, 80% of nurses and 63% of doctors are sure there are more mental health patients during the full moon than at any other time.
According to them, there is actually a connection to the psychological state and four phases of the moon. Adding that anxiety disorders increase by 32% during just the stage, when it is in the most complete form of it - complete.
They specifically associate this with a decrease in attention and ability of critical thinking as well as a lower concentration during the full moon.
