This will feel stronger by Barcelona and Real Madrid. The Catalan club must lower wages by exactly 273.71m euros. Penal limit in “Camp Nou” so far was 656.3m euros, and is now down to 382.7m euros.
At Real Madrid they must lower salaries by 172.5m euros, and the wage limit should be 468.5m euros.
This decision will take effect in February 2021 and until then all clubs must find a solution.
The maximum wage budget at Atletico Madrid is downsized to 95.7m euros. The fourth club, which must drastically reduce wages, is Valencia with 73.3m euros.
All clubs in La League currently pay 2.9 billion euros for salaries, and now the decrease will be a total of slightly over 600m euros.
