Following the decision issued by the Government of Kosovo, for new measures for preventing and fighting the COVID-19 virus, in the northern part of Kosovo are ignoring these measures. Against new measures has also come up the mayor of the Mitrovica municipality in the south, Agim Bahtiri.
Kosovo Assembly MP from the ranks of the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK), Valdete Idrizi, has said the government is again closing its eyes on the northern part of Mitrovica.
Idrizi said government decisions in northern Mitrovica are not being ignored, and in this case it is silent.
The government still closes its eyes when it comes to the northern part of Mitrovica. Despite measures the government quickly proposed and endorsed last night, in the north they are ignored, and the government is silent - virtually no virus there. Or, like, somewhere else. Maybe she couldn't translate government decisions and they don't understand, where for days?
Idriz also noted that these measures, which were decided by the government, are meaningless.
“I'm commenting more on these really meaningless measures, but wouldn't the decision have to be implemented throughout the Republic of Kosovo? People, friends, we need to guard ourselves and others by maintaining physical distance with others, hygiene, and mask, that otherwise it is difficult to cope with measures that are damaging businesses, even more vulnerable to anti - masses - COVID” wrote among other things.
Even Mitrovica municipality chairman Agim Bahtiri through his social network on Facebook has said he opposes new measures, which, according to him, are inadequate, without vision and will produce no proper effects.
The government of Kosovo's <x0 matures for the country's isolation during the weekend are inadequate, without vision and will therefore produce no necessary effects for protection from COVID-19. These measures taken without proper planning, which were said to have to be implemented 3 hours after they were taken, show that the Government of Kosovo has lost its way in preventing the spread of COVIDD-19, which is increasing as a result of its inability to manage the situation. Zaten must be very optimistic about having greater expectations of a government that has not voted the people”, he said.
Bahtiri also argued that the measures taken by the Kosovo government would have to be implemented in northern Kosovo municipalities.
