The Council for Protection of Human Rights and Freedoms in Pristina calls for quick investigation that authors of the billboard burning “Freedom has a name KLA” be brought to justice, saying similar ugly acts are aimed at destabilising the situation in Kosovo.
Unidentified persons so far, in the early hours of this morning, set fire to the baner “Liberty has a name, KLA”, located in Kishnica , inhabited by Albanians but participating in the Serb-run municipality of Gracanica.
This banner was placed on Pristina road '% Gjilan and immediately aroused reactions from the Government of Serbia after which, according to a automatism, residents of Gracanica reacted, saying they are feeling insecure and concerned.
The resident of Kashnica does not have to deal with the residents of Gracanica and that it should not be a concern for their security so long ago that, even in Gracanica, even in other Kosovo municipalities inhabited by the Serb majority of 10 municipalities, Serbian flags and symbols have been used, ignoring Kosovo's symbols and no one has set them on fire or destroyed them, although with the Law it is defined when and how the national symbols of the minority community can be used, a response to the KMDNJ is said.
The KMDLNJ considers the deployment of this resident Serbia has used it on attacks and charges against the KLA war in Kosovo and its leaders, who have been arrested by the Special Court and brought to them an indictment, as Serbian authorities admit, mainly with materials from Serbia.
In this context, it further says in response, Serbia is going even further by asking the Special to arrest and accuse U. CKUE for the murder of 17 Serbian and Albanian journalists, a number of whom Serbia itself has executed.
Otherwise, Kosovo police have already launched investigations into the case. Freedom Has Name is the initiative of a group of goodwill to launch a debate about Kosovo's new history and the need for an inclusive collective memory on the road to collective pride in the future.
