Political party leaders are expected next week to start meetings to resolve the institutional stalemate created by the surprise resignation of head of state, Hashim Thaci.
AAK Deputy Chairman Ahmet Isufi lists some of the strengths why former Prime Minister Haradinaj deserves the leader's chair.
“ ...that has confirmed with the attempt at partitioning Kosovo that it was very responsible in those situations. Also, even about the establishment of the military, the Trepca law, both the property of Kosovo and the territory of Kosovo. Even the international reports have clarified them directly, just as the statesman... ” stated Isufi.
Opposition parties, such as the Vetevendosje Movement or the PDK, have failed to convince Haradinaj's candidacy, like ruling coalition leaders from the Democratic League of Kosovo.
“has more disagreement among political partners than it has to do with the president. ”
Deputy Chairman Isufi believes that there is no choice for the 14 AAK deputies.
He expects parties to give up narrow interests, otherwise he warns political divorce.
“ ... if there is no choice then there are choices... it is unreasonable to think differently, because even under certain circumstances, when we told about the role of prime minister, for example, when we were told why you're insisting that the vote is not enough as far as the party level is concerned. But we're considering that people should choose where they deserve because their functioning would be better for society.”, he has declared.
Since November 5th, the post of first state in Kosovo is being exercised temporarily for a no-six-month term by Chief Parliamentary Vjosa Osmani.
By constitution, procedures for the establishment of offspring must be closed by April 5th 2021, otherwise the parliament will be dissolved and the country will automatically go to new elections.
