Chairman Kadri Veselini's PDK has visited two entrepreneurs in Malisevo, Qamil Hotin, who has an apple orchard and Sami Kastract, who has a milk-gathering point.
Wessel says it was hit hard during the pandemic and that the politicians who talked most about local products when they came to power forgot the local producers.
He writes:
Today it is World Food Day, and I went to the village of Caralukle to visit Qamil Hoti's apple orchard and Sami Kastrat's milk store. Their food products are excellent, but both of these production sector businesses are severely damaged by pandemic and feel abandoned by the state.
Politicians who were mostly called to the protection of local products when they came to power completely abandoned them during the pandemic. Not only did they not help them but they were also damaged through free tax removal by enabling the import of products from Serbia that are subsidised with the only intention of putting our local products into unfair competition.
