After more than a month, Thursday 29 October in Brussels is expected to hold the meeting of Kosovo and Serbia delegations at the expert level, within the dialogue mediated by the European Union. That's what diplomatic sources in Brussels have said without providing more details about the meeting.
This meeting was scheduled to take place at the end of September, but was postponed due to preventive measures against the body's coronary pandemic, as well as the obstacles presented about topics in dialogue the parties disagreed with.
Kosovo at the expert level is represented by state co-ordinator for dialogue Skender Hyseni, meanwhile, Serbia is represented by Marko Djuric.
According to REL sources in Brussels, it is expected that the topic of discussions that will be held Thursday will be financial issues and property claims of the parties, topics that were discussed even at previous meetings.
The meeting will be held by respecting the strict measures the Belgium authorities have imposed these days, but also the European Union institutions themselves, to curb the further spread of the coronary.
Dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia has resumed during this summer, and several meetings have been held so far, as high-level between Kosovo Prime Minister Avdullah Hoti and Serbian President Aleksandar Vuciq, but also among expert delegations.
But for more than a month, there have been no meetings between Kosovo representatives and Serbia, and one of the causes was Kosovo's refusal to negotiate the Association of Serb majority municipalities in Kosovo and Serbia's insistence on discussing the topic as a priority.
To prepare new meetings, in Kosovo and Serbia, a week earlier the EU's special envoy for dialogue, Miroslav Lajcak.
