Suspected of 2m euros missing: Ministry of Finance with Media Conference

Full of two million euros have been evaporated by the Ministry of Finance. The objective finds that the money has been withdrawn from this ministry's State Treasury, which is not yet known where it ended.

This has led the Kosovo Police, the Directorate for Investigation of Economic Crimes and Corruption, on Tuesday evening has taken action in the ministry, since the case has arrested one person, finance ministry official, under suspicion of misuse of official office, while the other two suspects are on the run.

Police have also raided the homes of persons suspected of the case.

Kosovo's “Police, in this case of 20,10.20, have undertaken a police operation in the Pristina region, which has resulted in the arrest of a suspected person. All further actions will be undertaken in co-operation and co-ordination with justice organs, where we will keep you informed for additional information” in response.

On the other hand, the State Prosecutor has already launched investigations into the case.

Pristina Deputy Prosecutor-in-chief Ibrahim Berisha has told the paper that the case is in the initial phase.

But the same one has refused to give more details.

We're in the initial phase of the investigation. Currently, we cannot give more details because we damage the case”, he said briefly.

And the Ministry of Finance has not yet declared such a scandal.

The invitation was made through a media report.
