Police: Attack on journalist Kajtazi under investigation, still no suspects

Police spokesman for the Mitrovica region, Avni Zahii, has told Express that bullet shells have been found at the scene.

He said the case has been initiated as “Cause of total risk”.

“Rasti is initiated as “Cause of total risk”. There's been a scene, two or three bullets fired in the car. Investigators are working to whiteen the case, so far there are no suspects”, Zahit has declared.

Meanwhile, journalist Shkumbin Kaitazi through a Facebook status has announced the attack on him.

I faced a dangerous attack: my car was shot with 5 or 6 bullets. The event took place around midnight, when the car was parked in downtown Mitrovica. I was close and heard gunfire, but as an naive man who believes that Kosovo is a normal country, I have not allowed my mind to tell me it could be such an attack. I was wrong”, he wrote Caitazi.

When I approached the place where I parked, I saw that the car was badly damaged. At first, I had the conviction that he had been hit with something powerful, but then holes and bullet shells were observed everywhere - in the driver's seat, in the ceiling, and in the back. I also declared that the case is related to work, since my personal problem with someone I haven't had since high school”, he wrote.

Cateazi has made it known that he announced the case to the police.

“Rest is in the police and will soon take over serious crimes investigators. His arrival must be done quickly, or he is in danger of being struck like the former. I don't feel afraid, which is the purpose of people who come after me. I'm just desperate with my country and his people” He wrote Cataz.

This is the second time journalist Shkumbin Kaitazi has been attacked. The first time, he had tried to burn his car with gasoline.
