Pandemia hit economy, 78 thousand Kosovars have made calls for postponement of credit tranche

Kosovo Central Bank spokesman Kuqirim Ahmeti has said that in the period of March, April, May and July, close to 78 thousand requests for postponement of the loan tranche have been submitted.
Ahmeti has said that out of 78 thousand requests, 70 thousand and 564 requests have been approved.
“Out of 77,629 requirements set forth for postponement of installments for the March-April-May-July period, 70,564 requests were approved from which 57,443 for physical persons and 20,186 for judicial persons”, Ahmeti said.
While in the question, following this postponement of the first three-month loan installment, how many complaints have been accepted for rising interest, Ahmeti has said there are 131 complaints which have been chosen in favour of the parties.
“I inform you that the MQK complaint division has so far received 746 complaints, of which 131 have been resolved in favour of the parties, others are mainly complaints about the estimated regular interest and resulting in negative response to the” parties, he said.
We remember that the Central Bank of Kosovo, together with the Kosovo Banks Association, had decided that businesses and individuals who, due to the situation created in the country and the decline in their level of revenues, had to be allowed to suspend loan installment payments between March 16th 2020 and April 30th 2020.
