The case has to do with the use of a firearm by a police official towards a motorcyclist moved.
In this case it has been found that police official's authorisations for using the official weapon have been exceeded.
“The investigation had first begun with suspicion of committing criminal work “causing general risk” over an incident that occurred on September 13, 2020. The IPK has been investigating in this case the circumstances of using a firearm by a police official on suspicion that, in the case of shooting a firearm at a motorcyclist in motion (the suspected person) have exceeded his authorisations for using the official gun”, the report said.
The IPK reports that investigators have uncovered additional evidence on suspicion of misuse of official duty even by some police officials.

“Referring to IPK legal authorizations, in the interest of the investigative procedure, The IPK has recommended today the suspension of seven Kosovo Police officers as suspects in the case (a major U.D. commander of the Gjakova Police Station, a police lieutenant, four police officials and a member of the KB civil staff). Co-ordination investigators with the competent prosecution will also take other investigative actions towards the full lighting of the circumstances of this case”, released in the report.
