What will happen between Kosovo and Serbia a year later, Costet expands his expectations

Prime Minister Avdullah Hoti and Serbia's president, Alexadner Vuciq, at the Oval Office in Washington in the presence of President of the United States of America have agreed to a one-year moratorium, where Kosovo will seek new recognition and membership in international organisations and Serbia will stop its campaign against independence [...]
US Ambassador to Pristina Philip Costnett has said such a point in the agreement is set to calm down and create breathing space for the parties so that it can focus on economic issues.
This mortorium is designed to create a breathing space, and to focus on economic issues”, the American ambassador said today during a conversation with journalists.
The American diplomat has also indicated his expectations of dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia after a period of a year. He has said that if Serbia and Kosovo seriously approach the process, there can be tangible progress.
“What we expect after a year. We believe that if Serbia and Kosovo are serious in this process, then there will be tangible progress at the end of this period of one year.
But we have a deadline when this or that issue can happen, because it depends on many different factors.
We will continue to work very hard to identify obstacles and continue before”, Costett said.
He has already said the US sees the full normalisation of reports between Kosovo and Serbia as the final goal of dialogue, until it adds that if there is to be progress in political dialogue leading the EU, then it has said that an extraordinary moment could be created in next year.
“We see that the final goal of talks between Kosovo and Serbia should be the full normalisation of reports, and not just economic ones. But I don't think it helps me speculate what's going to happen on September 4, 2021. If the EU dialogue on the policy part creates the moment in the coming year, and I believe they will do so because of progress in the economy, we will be in an extraordinary position next year”, Costnet said among other things.
