The response of the Kosovo Islamic Community is said to be an unacceptable and punishable act.
According to BIK, such an act only increases hatred and interhuman distrust.
For us as the Islamic Community, this act is unacceptable and such an act only does not increase patience, hatred of human disbelief, because the violation, insult, and impeachment of the other, and especially when this is about the matter of belief, does not amount to”, says BIC response.
BIK has asked the Foreign Ministry to distance itself from Gashi's move.
We seek from the foreign ministry to distance itself from Ambassador Gashi's action because we consider that by his action he has ascribed the values and principles over which our people for centuries have established and cultivated the harmony of interreligious coexistence”, it is said in response.
Kosovo's Ambassador to France, Staying Gashi, has tweeted a letter from a journalist from France who displays the cartoon of Prophet Muhammad, published in the magazine Charlie Hebdo in solidarity with a teacher who has recently been beheaded by a French Islamist.
The full response of the Islamic Community of Kosovo without interference:
At the beginning of the month of the birthday of our beloved Prophet Muhammad, when we and all the world of Islam have begun manifestations to commemorate, read and study his brilliant biography and his sacred teachings, we receive the publication of cartoons that offend Prophet Muhammad's from our ambassador to France. Staying Gashi.
For us as the Islamic Community, this act is unacceptable, and such an act only increases patience, hatred, and human disbelief, because violating, insulting, and meeting another, and especially when it has to do with the matter of faith, is of no value.
Our people know of value in cultivating tolerance, understanding, coexistence, and interreligious harmony, which is an example for other peoples. The interreligious harmony that we cultivate for centuries can be a good example for peoples and other societies.
This fine and valuable example of our nation should be followed by our ambassador, Mr. Staying Gashi, not doing the opposite, and his actions contribute to his failure to endure religious hatred.
We ask the foreign ministry to distance itself from Ambassador Gashi's action, because we consider that by his action he has ascribed the values and principles over which our people for centuries have established and cultivated the harmony of interreligious coexistence.
We also condemn the criminal act against French teachers and at the same time commit ourselves to using our beliefs, not to hate or to be patient, but to living together, recognition, respect, and love.
