From January alone until June of this year, these investments have reached the value of 164.7m euros. This amount of FDI, compared to last year, is 48.7 per cent higher.
The BQK's latest report on the “Framework Development Review” in Kosovo cites the fact that the balance of payments in our country's financial accounts have scored a value of -284.1m euros, which is a negative balance increase compared to 2019, when it was estimated only -145.1m euros.
According to the CEC, this increase in the negative balance in local financial accounts was largely as a result of reducing investments outside Kosovo, and mainly those portfolios.
Even obligations under the financial account have scored a 25.4 per cent increase, the same report says.
And the level of IHD growth in the country, according to the CEC, is attributed to the fact that during the first half of 2020, foreign companies operating in Kosovo have not distributed distributions for their shareholders, indifference that the crisis may have hit the IHD despite their growth.
However, during the past two months, these investments had marked decline, despite slight growth in the previous months.
“Under the IHD structure, capital and investment fund in shares amounted to 128.4m euros and scored 56.5 per cent growth, while IHHDs in the form of debt instruments marked annual growth of 26.3 per cent and reached the value of 36.3m euros.”, the BQ report, writes the Economic Bulletin.
