However, the name of the new official is not very well known in Kosovo.
As the Serbian daily Danas reported, Petkov has so far been assistant director of the so-called Office for Kosovo.
He was the spokesman for the Democratic Party of Serbia at the time when former Serbian Prime Minister Vojislav Kostunica was also the leader of this party, which left in 2014, shortly after Kostunica.
Meanwhile, he became a member of the Serbian Progressive Party, and he has been acting as assistant director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija since April 2016.
Petkov and Djuric signed the Processeverbal for transferring tasks to the office of director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija, in the presence of members of the former director's expanded board, the Office for Kosovo and Metohija announced.
