Central Election Commission Chairman Valdete Daka has just announced that an election decree has been reached in this institution in Podujevo and northern Mitrovica. It was during the meeting at the CEC.
At this meeting, CEC Secretariat Chairman Burim Ahmetaj said there is no need for an additional budget for the Podujevo municipality.
President Thaci has instructed the Central Election Commission to undertake all necessary actions for organising and holding elections in the Podujevo municipality and in that of North Mitrovica in line with the decisions and law in force.
In the two decisions of President Thaci, the organisation and holding of the elections for the mayor of the Podujevo municipality and the North Mitrovica municipality chairman, must be made in co-ordination and co-ordination with the relevant institutions, in accordance with Law No. 07/ L-006 for the Prevention and Combat of Pandemia COVID-19 on the territory of the Republic of Kosovo.
