Pristina municipality deputy head Muheddin Nushi said the budget planned for 2021 is cut and is worth 85m and 792 thousand euros.
While it has confirmed from 29m euros in planned revenues, 61% have been realised so far.
The “that we've achieved so far, which shows an extremely good result is the revenues realised 65% despite having a few cuts. In the property tax sector, we had made the decision August 1st to speed up that procedure and not to ask for the property tax share for members of the other family but only the owner of vehicles. This has produced results and eliminated the toll we've had, but citizens have shown awareness about paying taxes on property”, Nushi said in an interview for Online Economics.
“29 million inflows are planned for this year, and 61% has already been realised. But the impasse for this year is only about the expense because the budget is spent around 40%, and at this rate of work I'm confident we'll get to 60% of the budget spending this year. As far as the 2021 budget is concerned, it is reduced to 85 million and 792 thousand euros”.
Among other things, Deputy Chairman Nushi said that since July the proposal by the Mayor of the Shpend Ahmeti has passed, but has not been implemented.
He added he has demanded that businesses be assisted with another 3m euros.
So far, it has not been improvised even though it has been approved because we're dealing with that value not enough to cover the expenses that we've put in the economic development processing group. The number of active businesses in the Pristina municipality is 19 thousand and 142 businesses. These businesses need to eliminate those that have operated such as banks, gas pumps, drugstores that cannot enter along with those who have not worked during the time of pandemic”.
If we eliminate these economic codes then we can come to a number of 12,000 businesses that should be rewarded with this 5 million will be distributed over the next three months. I've asked the mayor to help with another 3 million to become 8 million in order to help our businesses”, he said.
He also spoke on the project for security cameras in Pristina Square, where, according to him, the cost is 72 thousand and 800 euros.
According to him, these cameras are set up for citizens' safety.
The entire square from Ibrahim Rugova Square is covered until the end of Zahir Pajaziti Square. We also covered Adam Yasar square with this project, part of the old municipality, but part of the new municipality”.
The “Monitoring Centre operating under the Directorate for Public Services and which is located in the Pristina municipality section made daily monitoring of these recordings that are sophisticated cameras that are located for the safety of the citizens”.
