Bahtiri against Ahmeti's proposal: Pristina is not alone, it is hurting citizens

Pristina chairman Shpend Ahmeti's proposal to impose a 10-euro tax on citizens and other municipalities entering the capital has prompted numerous reactions. The issue has also been reacted to by Mitrovica Mayor Agim Bahtiri. Bahtiri in a proposal for Periscope says such a proposal is [...]
Bahtiri in a proposal for Periscope says such a proposal is unthinking even conflicts with the idea.
Mitrovica's first claim is that with this proposal the municipality seeks to violate the freedom of movement of Kosovo citizens.
I don't think well, and I think Pristina is not only of the mayor of the municipality, but of all Kosovo, and any such attempt is unacceptable to the citizens of Mitrovica, but I think of Kosovo as well. We have a capital and as such we respect and boast with the capital that we have but there is no limit in this direction to think of doing so because it is contrary to the free movement of citizens and contrary to the interests of citizens. We are not in a European state that has income, nor does it have the comfort of making such a decision. We're a poor country.
In turn, Bahtiri stresses that the proposal to impose taxes on all persons who want to enter Pristina would hurt businesses even more.
For me it's unacceptable and I don't understand how to think of such a government to discriminate with citizens of other municipalities. We have enough pandemics that have destroyed businesses, now even with this condition that they want to decide and destroy the entire business and wallet of citizens because it's unprincipled and non-human and also unacceptable. I respect Mr Ahmeti but I do not respect his opinion because it is harmful for businesses that are located in Pristina and that the wallet of the citizens of Mitrovica is also affected. Of course, I would agree to a meeting with Mayor Ahmeti and we would look through the Communist Association to have a meeting and sit down and talk about what the reason is. And how a local government could think of such a decision, ends Bahtiri for Periscope.
Pristina municipality deputy head Selim Pacolli said no one has the right to enter by car inside Pristina, but that to exploit this right, the green tax must be paid.
Whatever comes from Peja, Gjakova, Kline, Drenica, is right and can enter Pristina, only to pay the green tax, it must pay 10 euros. This has not yet been decided, but it has been thought thus”, Selimi stressed. / P ERISCOPI/
