Azerbaijan takes control of 22 settlements in Nagorno - Karabakh

Azerbaijan's Army has taken control of 22 settlements in the contesting Nagorno-Karabakh region, President Ilham Aliyev said today. He said his country's Armed Forces seized the Fuzul district, five settlements in Jabrajil, Mitswan residence and 13 settlements in Zagilan County.
Aliyev noted yesterday that the Azerbaijani army invaded the town of Zagilan and 24 settlements in four counties in Nagorno-Karabakh.
Azerbaijani president added that the number of civilians killed in attacks by Armenian forces had increased to 63.
The clashes between the Azerbaijanian and Armenian armies escalated on September 27th in Nagorno-Karabakh, which territorially belongs to Azerbaijan, but is inhabited by ethnic Armenians.
