Three Albanians invited to join Serbia's Football National

Despite the fact that there is still an enormous division between the two Albanian and Serbian peoples sports trying to unite them. Three Albanian football players from Presevo, Edona Agoshi, Riona Duraj and Erda Alishan, who were invited to play for the Serbian national team, are writing a success story of a nation that [...]
From an anonymous club in Presevo, which collects Albanian, Serbian and Roma women, are showing the names of women's best football talents in Serbia. This club has about 40 active football players in U-13 and U-15 age groups.
Albanian footballers played two preparation matches with the Serbian national in Nis. In essence, this marks the success history of Albanian women, who became famous in sports, and were known by Albanians only as men's sports.
“over the weekend, we visited the Women's Football Club “Preseva” in Presevo, where we met the coach of Sheriff Jonuzi Club and 20 young girls, who, in spite of the rainy weather, are trained without letup, wanting to follow the path of their friends, whose names were already written on national fanfare”, are said in Al Jazeera's writing.
The coach, who is also the founder of the club during our visit, said that his club, despite the many challenges and problems it faces, continues to create football talents that others love.
Patriarchal Relations
Asked how the idea of establishing the first women's football club in the Prevesva Valley and beyond arose in an environment where patriarchal family relations are still present, he told us that the idea came from the interests of parents and girls, eager to offer it as soon as possible. in the midst of a new experience, a new opportunity, and a new view of the world, even though Presevo is now in the suburbs of all important events, especially sports. He began to cooperate with them in 2014 as he enrolled as a club in 2018.
Sheriff Jonuz, who is a licensed coach with license B and C, also told us that his club trains Serbian and Roma girls coming from different cities in Serbia, putting aside prejudices that are still visible in this region. This helped them to feel at home in this club and in this environment.
“They come to our club because there are no women's football teams in their cities, so Serbian women from Vranje and Bujanovac come to our club and are always welcome,” says the Sheriff.
He mentions a Serbian footballer who travels tens of miles a day to train with her peers in this club.
We have Anita Antiić, who travels from Vranje (about 50 kilometers from Presevo) and has an extraordinary talent for football. She just loves football,” Yonuzi said.
What was, of course, the most important thing for us as journalists was the fact that Albanian girls were invited by the Serbian coach, and is that information accurate?
Yes, the information is correct. During the period 2018/19, women's selection groups U-13 and U-15 invited us to send our three football players, Edona Agushi, Riona Duraj and Erda Alishan, to the “preparation match, coach Jonuzi says.
